Brandon Linder

The New Orleans Saints currently have Erik McCoy at the center. While he is a good center and will be the starter, the Saints need a better backup than Nick Easton.

You know you have a problem with depth when the same person is backing up all the offensive line positions. The Saints have had a history with injured offensive lineman, and they may want more than just Easton.

The Jacksonville Jaguars by no means had a great offensive line in the past couple of years, but one of the bright sides to their overpaid, underperforming offensive line is Brandon Linder. Linder was the most dependable player on their offensive line.

His PFF grade of 83.1 is third among centers over the last three years. He would be a great backup to Erik McCoy, but he could also spell McCoy. Linder is one of the best interior pass blocking lineman in the league.

The best thing bringing in Linder would do is give peace of mind to the offense in case of injury. Injuries are always bound to happen and they have already happened to Andrus Peat. If Easton is filling in for Peat, who is going to fill in for McCoy.

This is why the Saints need to go get Linder.
