In breaking news over the past couple of days, Saints star running back Alvin Kamara has missed multiple practices, and they are saying it is contract related.

In surprising news, something that Saints’ fans have had in the back of their mind that they hoped would never come to fruition is becoming a reality. Alvin Kamara has reportedly missed his third straight practice from the team.

The team is now prepared to trade him, although he hasn’t demanded such action. For now, the two sides just aren’t on the same page.

The reason for these unexcused absences is yet to be 100% revealed, but the talk around the organization is that it has to do with contract relations that began being talked about between the team and Kamara a few weeks ago.

There is now a strong chance that Kamara follows in the footsteps of Melvin Gordon and Le’Veon Bell of a couple of years ago. If he chooses to continue to hold out, the Saints will either need to fork over the money or start getting Murray ready.

There will be strong consequences to the Saints’ offense, though. The side effects of Kamara holding out will go farther than could be thought.

That said, here are the top three side effects to Kamara choosing this route for this coming season.
