New England Patriots

These last two make the most sense. That said, we’re kicking off the final two teams with the New England Patriots. While they’re led by Sony Michel, the Patriots are really more of a running back by committee team.

With the money to bring in Kamara, the Patriots could use the threat alongside Cam Newton, who they brought in on an extreme discount this offseason. CBS Sports’ Jeff Kerr laid out how it makes sense and something New England may look into doing.

“The Patriots have given the Saints a first-round pick for an offensive playmaker before (see Brandin Cooks) and he was also in the last year of his rookie contract. Sound familiar? Perhaps Bill Belichick gives up another first-round pick to add a talented running back like Kamara, especially given the Patriots running back situation,” Kerr wrote.

Kamara would automatically slide in and be a dual-threat back for the Patriots. His second season in the league, Kamara totaled 18 touchdowns. He’s shown an ability to consistently get it done in the red zone.

The Patriots have an elite defense, but their offense will be lagging behind. Kamara could help them continue to rule over the AFC East.
