Number Three: Devonta Freeman

Devonta Freeman is a free agent running back who has spent his entire career with the Atlanta Falcons. Freeman, 28, has torched the New Orleans Saints defense for years and bringing him on board to replace Kamara would work wonders for both sides.

Freeman has been a very good running back for the Atlanta Falcons in his career, but he was released after the signing of Todd Gurley this offseason.

Freeman has been in the NFL since 2014 following a successful college career at Florida State and carried over that same elusive and powerful skill set to the NFL level.

In his six year NFL career, Freeman has recorded 951 rush attempts, 3,972 rushing yards, a 4.2 yards per carry average, 257 receptions, 2,015 receiving yards, and 43 total touchdowns. Freeman has been selected to two Pro Bowls and has played in one Super Bowl as well.

Freeman’s experience would be useful as a one-year rental for the Saints’ running back job if Kamara continues to hold out, plus his experience in the Falcons playbook would help give the Saints valuable insight into the minds of their division rivals.
