Number One: Latavius Murray

Latavius Murray spent his first season in the black and gold in 2019 and ended up putting up solid numbers as the change of pace option to Alvin Kamara. Murray, 30, combines his size and speed and is the likely option to take over as the starting running back if Kamara extends his hold out.

Latavius Murray is entering the second year of his four-year deal he signed back in 2019 and he will look to continue his success with the organization. Murray played in all 16 games for the Saints in 2019 and actually put up very good numbers despite toting the ball only 146 times.

Murray managed to record 146 rush attempts, 637 rushing yards, 4.4 yards per carry, and five rushing touchdowns. Murray also managed to snag 34 receptions (second highest total of his career), 235 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown.

Murray was already a candidate to receive more playing time, but an Alvin Kamara hold out could propel him to be the top back field talent in New Orleans.
