Latavius Murray, RB

Average Draft Pick – 116.6

Latavius Murray has a higher ADP than Emmanuel Sanders and Jared Cook which personally, I think is a crime. However, let’s run with this and see where it takes up. Murray’s ADP would still consider him “late round” based on my categorizing.

Murray’s role in the New Orleans Saints offense didn’t see him utilized quite as much as Mark Ingram was behind Kamara. However, it should be expanding. Murray’s ADP is probably this high for one of two reasons.

One, people think that Alvin Kamara will hold out for a new contract before risking injury. Two, people think Kamara will get injured. In the games that Kamara missed last season, Murray ran for over 100 yards in both games.

They are hoping he does that again. However, even if Kamara doesn’t get injured, he is better in the passing game. Murray is better in the running game and should be used like Ingram was when he was in the Saints offense.
