The third player that has the possibility of being a superstar is yet another rookie AND another player that excels in versatility. In the NFL nowadays, players that play more than one position are viewed higher than those that don’t — take Taysom Hill for example.

Currently, on the Saints’ roster, Baun is not starting, but he is the first backup for both OLB Alex Anzalone and DE Marcus Davenport. Those are both players that are not only prone to injury but could very likely see an injury this season.

If that happens and Zack Baun sees time, he could very well end up stealing the position — especially from Anzalone who is always injured. There have been multiple reports coming out of Saints training camp that Baun is NFL ready and that is exciting for a rookie.
