Yannick Ngakoue, Jacksonville Jaguars

Yannick Ngakoue had been in the news quite a bit early in the offseason with his reluctancy to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars. While he might have to endure this season under his franchise tag, he is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year.

Might I add as well, Ngakoue was not happy about his franchise tag after wanting out of Jacksonville. He might be making serious money, but he is stuck for yet another year without a chance at the playoffs, much less a Super Bowl.

Since entering the league four years ago, Ngakoue has started all but two games for the Jaguars. He has also totaled 37.5 sacks which are almost average to double-digit sacks per year for the youngster out of Maryland.

With the opportunity to learn from one of the best, Ngakoue might be drawn to the Saints to play alongside Cameron Jordan. The presence of both of them at either end of the line would be menacing for opposing offenses and hard for them to plan for.

At only 26 years-old, Ngakoue would almost take the place of Jordan. He would become the face of the Saints’ defense for years to come. On the plus side, he is at a point in his career where he is ready to sign a long-term contract — especially with a contending team.
