Strength No. 2 – Coaching

The offensive mastermind that Sean Payton is is bound to coach this team to nothing less than a top-five offense. In fact, he has only not had a top ten offense in one year that he has been an offensive coordinator or head coach.

He will be a huge strength for the Saints this year, but also defensive coordinator Dennis Allen has a new and improved defense to work with. He will have a bolstered secondary and a deadly line that will put pressure on opposing offenses.

Weakness No. 2 – Depth

The second weakness the Saints have is a result of the first weakness. The Saints’ depth is going to be an issue is select positions. There are some positions that have enough depth to outlast injuries, then there are some that do not.

The specific positions I am thinking of are defensive end where a rookie is the first backup, wide receiver where Tre’Quan Smith is the best backup, and cornerback where Patrick Robinson is the best backup. The Saints could use more depth.
