Strength No. 1 – Veteran Leadership

One of the biggest strengths going in favor of the Saints is their veteran leadership. Drew Brees and Malcolm Jenkins are just two of the Saints that still start on the team from the 2009 Super Bowl-winning team.

The Saints also only have one rookie in their starting rotation. That means that most of the team has had at least one if not a handful of years experience in the NFL. The leadership the Saints have should lead them far in the season.

Weakness No. 1 – Injuries

The biggest and foremost weakness that the Saints have is their health. The Saints have had a ton of injuries in the past and there are bound more this season. We have already seen star Pro Bowl guard Andrus Peat get hurt in training camp.

He is just the first of what could be many. Last season, almost all of the linebackers on the Saints were injured at some point in the season. Even stars like Drew Brees and Alvin Kamara spent time off the field due to injury.

Injuries are part of the game and will come.
