Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I know lots of analysts are projecting a strong outcome for Tom Brady‘s Buccaneers in 2020, but most spectators wouldn’t expect a Week 1 victory for Tampa.

The Week 1 match-up against Tom Brady spells trouble.

Saints are known for being a team that starts 0-1 or 0-2 quite too often. Even though they started 1-1 last year, they almost lost the first game after multiple huge strikes by Deshaun Watson. Their second game, which was a loss, wasn’t even up to par with their dominant ability after Week 2.

A usual slow start for a Saints team doesn’t combine perfectly with an anticipated Tom Brady.

I don’t believe that the Buccaneers will get more than 10 wins with a 43-year-old quarterback, but this team will have some juice in Week 1. They also still have loads of talent on defense.

Shaq Barrett, Devin White, Lavonte David, and JPP will either get after Drew Brees or limit his short passing game significantly. Brees will have trouble connecting to Kamara frequently and their running game won’t be very effective.

If Brees can’t connect with Michael Thomas, this team will need Emmanuel Sanders and Jared Cook to step up on this one.

Drew Brees will be more than ready for this match-up, but the question will be: Can Brees have his team as prepared as Brady’s fired-up team? Maybe not.
