New Orleans posted a 13-3 record in the 2019 season, but that strong record didn’t come without some uncharacteristic losses. Which unheralded teams could edge out the Saints in 2020?

The Saints have had strong regular-season success over the course of the past three years. They have put up near the most wins out of any NFL club throughout that time, totaling 37.

It’s positive and glamorous that the Saints team has performed well, but that hasn’t come without some heartbreaking losses. A few of these losses have been at the hands of less talented ball clubs.

The Saints may very well put up 13 wins for the second season in a row, but it seems fitting for at least one team to upset the Saints.

The Falcons were that underdog team to beat the Saints last year. Atlanta caught the Saints coming off a bye week and they didn’t only beat the Saints — they blew the doors off the Saints in the dome.

Of course, New Orleans bounced back to beat Atlanta in their second match-up. The team went on to make the playoffs and battle Minnesota in the Wild Card round.

Of course, the Saints did lose that game. The Vikings were definitely the less favored team, but everybody should know that the Vikings have had the Saints number in the past few years.

All in all, it seems like there are a few teams that could sneak up on the Saints in 2020. Let’s take a look at who those teams could be, and let’s hope the Saints don’t let it happen in the post-season.
