A lifeline for injury

If there is one thing that the New Orleans Saints are familiar with it is injuries. In fact, they are already dealing with an injury that is causing them pain because they released Larry Warford earlier this offseason.

The same could happen to either Malcolm Jenkins or Marcus Williams. With Chauncey Gardner-Johnson having huge success in the slot corner position, the Saints don’t really have a true backup to either one of their safeties.

DJ Swearinger was added, but is he a reliable option? Thomas would be a terrific addition at the right price, also at the right length.

Therefore, whether you started Jenkins and Thomas, Thomas and Williams, or Williams and Jenkins, you will always have the third as a true backup. For a team that deals with injuries every year, depth is a vital key.
