Zack Baun

Zack Baun is one of those guys on the Saints that is going to be severely lacking due to the absence of a preseason. Baun will now be going into week one with no NFL game-time experience underneath his belt.

Even though Sean Payton said that Baun had a “good practice,” he didn’t sound too confident in the rookie linebacker following that up with “there is a learning curve.” Unfortunately, that is how it is going to be with rookies this year.

Baun is especially a rookie that the Saints can use and probably will utilize at some point this season. The depth that he brings to the linebacking core is tremendous. If either Marcus Davenport or Demario Davis go down this year, Baun will be the next up.

Because of that, Baun is going to have to be game ready at any point throughout the season. He is going to need to make a bigger name for himself in training camp than the excuses that are currently coming out of Sean Payton.
