Jameis Winston’s eye surgery worked.

There were many questions surrounding Jameis Winston this offseason. After being the first person to ever join the “30 for 30 club” (30 touchdowns, 30 interceptions), the Buccanneers released him in favor of Tom Brady.

It was revealed that Winston was in need of eye surgery in the offseason and the jokes continued. However, it really does hinder a quarterback when their eyes are not adjusted correctly. In Winston’s case, he had trouble with his deep ball accuracy and threw 30 INTs because of it.

Looking at the tape released from camp this week, Winston’s accuracy is continuing to improve every week. The eye surgery he had in the offseason worked. In the video of him throwing it to Tre’Quan Smith, you can see the proof of my point.

There is a lot of hope surrounding Winston and the future of him in a Saints’ uniform. Could he contend with Taysom Hill for the next starting quarterback? If he keeps showing out in camp that could be a reality.
