Here we are, two weeks into training camp and the defensive end battle on the New Orleans Saints is as competitive as ever.

There still hasn’t been any updates on whether the Saints will look to acquire Jadeveon Clowney before the season starts or not, but all signs are pointing towards the team using the talent they already have.

After all, Clowney still appears to want a contract that is $17 million annually. While he’s a star and a three-time Pro Bowler, Clowney just doesn’t have that pool. It’s obvious, well, because he’s still not signed.

Aside from Clowney’s potential addition, the Saints have superstar Cam Jordan and rising star Marcus Davenport. Those two are supposed to enter Week 1 as the starters, but who is behind them as could the latter have competition to even crack the Saints.

The Saints don’t really even need help at the defensive end position, Clowney would simply be a luxury player at this point. Here’s a look at the five defensive ends we predict will crack the final 53-man roster.
