San Francisco 49ers
Another inner-conference rival that Kamara could head to is San Francisco. The 49ers’ backfield is going to be led by Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman.
Playing in all 16 games without a single start, Mostert is primed for a terrific season, but as the lead back, there’s no denying the sixth-year player that’s been on five teams throughout his few seasons in the league could struggle.
Always looking to contend, if that’s a lingering problem for the 49ers into next offseason, splurging on a terrific running back to help enhance quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo’s play may be necessary.
The 49ers represented the NFC in the Super Bowl last season, and they were the best regular-season team in the NFL, taking down even the 13-3 Saints in a nail-biter.
They’ll look to capitalize on their hot run, and adding Kamara could be the final piece after losing Emmanuel Sanders to the Saints this offseason.
