Minnesota Vikings

Another team up on our list of possible destinations is for Kamara is the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have been a fringe playoff team with high-upside potential the last few seasons.

With a storied history with New Orleans these past few seasons, the Vikings were able to down the Saints in the Wild Card round with a huge outing from Dalvin Cook. Cook may not hold out after the best season of his career.

If the relationship between Cook and the Vikings does deteriorate, it would be interesting what they’d do with their running back situation. They may like Alexander Mattison, 22.

Do they like him enough to take him over Kamara at the right price? The trouble with Cook is the price. If everything is resting on 2020 for Kamara’s contract and he doesn’t meet expectations yet still views himself as an elite back, he may play the field.

The Vikings should be in that field with the cap and potential need to bring in an elite back. Late 2020, if Cook holds out, would be a make-or-break time for Mattison.

If he breaks and Kamara is on the market, Minnesota could certainly be a team that makes a call down south.
