Find their receivers

The New Orleans Saints play quick, and they do it by finding their receivers early and often.

Michael Thomas broke the league’s single-season receptions record last year as the Saints’ main threat in the passing game. Both Brees and Bridgewater utilized the former Buckeye to his full extent, showing exactly why he was worthy of such a massive extension.

The Saints ranked second in completions per game last season at 26.2.

In 2018, while they weren’t top-five, the Saints did end in the top-ten in completions per game. They were also second in home completions per game. Ironically, the only team that was in front of them was the Atlanta Falcons, the Saints NFC South rival.

With Alvin Kamara at 75% for most of the season and a more typical, hard-nosed running back taking his place and increasing his usage, the Saints likely could’ve topped the Falcons’ 28.7 per game.

The Saints, with a fully healthy Kamara, should be able to get passes completed and move the chains more consistently in 2020.
