Draft

The Saints draft extraordinarily well.

Their 2017 draft class included Marcus Williams, Alvin Kamara, Marshon Lattimore, and Ryan Ramczyk.

The last three have all been either named to the All-Pro team or nominated to the Pro Bowl. For Kamara and Lattimore, they’ve been to multiple Pro Bowls. We didn’t forget about Williams though, who was named to the top-25 under-25 list.

It’s not just that draft class that has played well for the black and gold.

Their class in 2018 had Marcus Davenport, a defensive end that may be in store for a breakout 2020 campaign. The next year they brought in McCoy and Chauncey Gardner-Johnson who recently changed his name to Ceedy Duce.

While the team clearly has had more draft picks than just the ones named, they’ve been able to consistently turn around talent that’s leaving the organization with fresh talent at a rate that isn’t oftentimes seen at the sport’s highest level.
