Antonio Brown

Can the New Orleans Saints afford to take on Antonio Brown?

First, it was the Steelers issue, then the helmet, then the controversy with the Raiders GM which subsequently got him released from Oakland, then signed with New England and was released after being accused of rape.

It’s been quite a ride for Brown so far.

After not getting any of his guaranteed money from Oakland or New England for violating terms of his contract, it left Brown as a hot mess. He later went on to “retire” from the NFL after a Twitter beef with multiple current NFL players.

He has since continued working out and is ready to make a return to the NFL field.

After meeting with the NFL commissioner’s office earlier this summer, Brown was sentenced to an 8-game suspension for his conduct. Now teams have an idea of how much time he would miss if he was signed.

He would be worth it if the Saints decided the suspension was something they could handle. The good thing is the hardest part of the season for the Saints is after week 8 so Brown would be available for all of those games.
