Josh Gordon

Josh Gordon has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride of a story for a career. But, the New Orleans Saints could keep his NFL aspirations alive. Starting out in Cleveland as one of the best in the league, then diving into drugs.

Then winding up in New England, diving back into off-field issues as he’d be held out due to the league’s substance-abuse policy. He then took a year off to re-evaluate himself and get better, and back on the Patriots he came.

Another suspension and time on the Seahawks and another suspension later — here we are.

I’m here to tell you that the Saints could add top-level talent for virtually no cost to the team whatsoever. Like Dez Brant, Gordon could just be signed at a very reasonable price to become the No. 3 wide receiver on the team.

Assuming he stays healthy (including staying out of the league’s substance-abuse policy), Gordon could be a better fit for the Saints than any trade they could make before the season. Gordon should be a viable option for the Saints to consider as a former superstar.
