The New Orleans Saints are not in desperate need of another wide receiver, but with former superstars available to sign, they should still consider it.

The New Orleans Saints are gearing up for the beginning of the season and are full swing into training camp by now. Most of the additions the team has considered have been made or denied already to this point.

However, there are three former superstar wide receivers that the Saints should consider signing before the beginning of the season. Yes, they signed Emmanuel Sanders in the offseason to be the No. 2 receiver, but they could still use a No. 3

Obviously, Tre’Quan Smith is not going to get the job done and should not be relied upon after his injury history his first two seasons in the league. Smith just hasn’t shown that potential that allowed him to be drafted on Day 2 of the 2018 NFL Draft.

That said, these receivers once were the top of their position. Through unfortunate circumstances, suspensions, and injuries, they find themselves ready to play again but no one to take them.

The Saints have an established enough coaching staff and quarterback that taking a shot on one of these three guys might just push them into a higher percentage chance to win the upcoming Super Bowl — something they desperately want.

Here are the three former studs.
