According to the consensus, the New Orleans Saints not only crack the top five; they came in at No. 3 ahead of any other NFC team in the NFL.

The New Orleans Saints ended last year with one of the most disappointing demises of a Super Bowl contender in the last couple of years. Not only did they lose out on the No. 2 seed to the Green Bay Packers, but they also missed the bye week.

Being out of the playoffs early has given the team more time in preparation for the upcoming season in which they are once again heavy favorites to win the Super Bowl. The team had an amazing offseason in comparison to other top-tier franchises.

They added Emmanuel Sanders, Malcolm Jenkins, and Cesar Ruiz. They didn’t let go of anyone that left a hole in the roster. The Saints triumphed with arguably the best offseason in the NFL.

Now, they are preparing for the upcoming season. Training camp has started, and the players are back on the field after months of personal workouts due to COVID-19. For the first time in a long time, the teams are back in pads together.

The first site in the consensus was CBS Sports. According to Pete Prisco, New Orleans comes in at No. 3. “Adding Emmanuel Sanders will help the offense and they have much of their team back from a year ago. That’s enough to make them a true contender.”

The second site was ESPN. According to NFL Nation, the New Orleans Saints come in at No. 4. “As a bonus for Kamara, the Saints used their first-round pick on center Cesar Ruiz, whose highlight package is filled with him blowing up huge running lanes.”

The last site in the consensus was Bleacher Report. According to Maurice Moton, New Orleans comes in at their highest ranking — No. 2. Above every team but the Kansas City Chiefs — even ahead of the Baltimore Ravens.
