Number Two: Josh Hill

When you think of the term “ole reliable” you probably think of guys like Drew Brees, Frank Gore, or Larry Fitzgerald, but a guy on the Saints who goes by the name Josh Hill fits that description well throughout his NFL career.

Hill has been with the New Orleans Saints since 2013 and has been one of the best number two tight ends in the NFL during his time.

Hill, 30, has never been the number one tight end, but he has always caught the ball well and blocked exceptionally better than whatever tight ends we’ve had before. That’s what has maintained job security for him.

Throughout his career, Hill has recorded 108 receptions out of 163 targets, 1,025 receiving yards, 9.5 yards per reception, 57 first downs, and 14 touchdowns. Hill has a 66.3 career reception percentage which ranks him amongst the highest on the Saints of all pass catchers.

Hill has always been a reliable player for the black and gold and I would be surprised if he’s not on the team after training camp concludes.
