Number One: Jared Cook

Jared Cook is the clear-cut number one tight end for the New Orleans Saints in 2020. Cook, 33, has one more year left on his deal with the Saints and it could be somewhat of a transition year for the position.

Cook has been a leader on the field since the first day he stepped into the building. Cook helped revive a lackluster area for the Saints and he gave Drew Brees his best tight end since Jimmy Graham.

Cook had an outstanding season in 2019 and was given a Pro Bowl nod after he hauled in 43 receptions for 705 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Had Cook played the entire like he did the last eight weeks, the Saint may be respected as a top-five tight end.

Cook is a lock to make the Saints’ final 53 man roster as his veteran leadership and dominant play style gives the Saints more than they expected.
