He was willing to play through an injury

Kamara is dedicated to his team and being there for his teammates. On an NFC-reigning Saints roster, Kamara played through an injury he sustained in Week 6, missing just two games.

He clearly wasn’t 100%, but able to play, Kamara wasn’t going to let a torn MCL force him to the sidelines. He ended up with 14 games played and nine starts, accruing over 1,300 all-purpose yards.

Here’s the exact play that his injury occurred and the report on the significance of it.

Kamara’s dedication to his teammates is something that must be noted. While many, including us, harped on him for having a mere five touchdowns and going through extension scoring droughts, it clearly was without the full picture.

Healthy, Kamara is expected to have a breakout season in 2020 as he’s looking at a new contract. Needing to continue his reputation as a shifty running back, being hampered by an injury must have been tough for such an elusive back.

2020 will hopefully be different for the three-time Pro Bowler.
