The Saints will undoubtedly need help in the middle of the season in order to add depth or replace injured starters — something sadly common for New Orleans.

If there is one thing that is always true about the New Orleans Saints, it is that they will go through injury issues midway through the season that with inevitably cause them some personnel problems later on toward the end of the season.

Last season, the position was the linebackers. The middle of the defense saw so many people hurt whether early or late in the season that they had to go out and find a free agent worth signing just to help for the rest of the season.

They ended up signing Manti Te’o.

The cornerback position was somewhat thin as well last year. When Eli Apple went down with his season-ending injury the Saints took to free agency and signed Janoris Jenkins from the New York Giants as his replacement.

As you can see, by the time the season was over last year, the Saints had a handful of players on their roster that were picked up in the middle of the season. Here are the top three that the Saints should keep an eye on to add late this year.
