Cesar Ruiz

Cesar Ruiz is the most unproven and unknown starter on the Saints roster. They drafted him this year in the first round out of the University of Michigan and then released Larry Warford to pave the way for his starting spot.

That means that Ruiz is going to have to live up to the hype. If he falls, then the offensive line will have a massive gap in it. For all intense and purpose, Ruiz needs to be the camp MVP to prove that he is worth all the Saints are putting into him.

Protecting Drew Brees is no easy task and camp will be Ruiz’s first chance to get a glimpse of what that looks like. He is also one of the main players that are at a loss without having any game time under his belt before week one hits later this year.

These players could make a serious impact on the 2020 team. None of them are really in a position to lose their jobs, but they are all in a position to make an impact. Whoever wins training camp MVP will have a great 2020.
