Tre’Quan Smith

The Saints’ desire to see Tre’Quan Smith succeed is beyond real. They obviously have an unfounded and unique desire to attach themselves to this young wide receiver in hopes that he will break out one season — hopefully soon.

If Smith has a great training camp, he could find his way more into the mix with Sanders and Thomas than he realizes. Due to injury and frankly lack of skill, Smith has struggled to get it started in his first couple of seasons with the team.

However, the organization is not giving up on him yet. They continue to want to see him thrive. If he could pull off a good training camp, it would launch him high into the sky with the Saints front office who would say, “I told you so.”

It would also benefit Smith to get reps in, not only with Drew Brees but with Jameis Winston too. Smith will be with the Saints past the time of Drew Brees and Winston looks to be the future at the position for the team. It could be a win-win for Smith if he has a good camp.
