The New Orleans Saints have high hopes for their young stars during training camp; here are three possibilities for camp MVP.

With the Saints training camp in full swing, they will have a little more time to get ready for the season this year than most. Without the preseason, there will be no preparing for meaningless games that lead up to the real games.

Now, there is also a downside.

The coaches won’t get to evaluate in-game performances by some players trying desperately to make the roster and some to get a starting spot. That is why the training camp — not preseason games — is more important.

The player to “wow” the coaches and be the MVP of training camp will get serious consideration when it comes to who they need in their personnel come week one. Everyone needs to put more into camp this year than they have before.

When it comes down to who the MVP of training camp is, it is more likely to be a young star fighting for a spot on the roster or backup fighting for a starting spot than it is an already solidified star.

If we were just looking for an all-out MVP, it would be Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara, or Drew Brees, but not in this MVP race. Here are the three most likely candidates to win the training camp MVP award.
