Tennessee Titans

I know this isn’t a sexy selection, but this fit would make too much sense. Derrick Henry is arguably the best pure running back in the league and the Hall of Fame QB would help formulate the top QB-RB duo in the NFL.

Imagine Brees and Henry in the same backfield, while WR A.J. Brown put on a great rookie season. Inserting Brees on to this championship roster would’ve put a strong case against the Chiefs coming out with the win during their AFC championship game.

Yes, Ryan Tannehill just signed a huge long-term deal.

However, I don’t see him being an All-Pro QB anytime soon and the Titans are clearly a championship contender right now. Brees could step in and have the Titans reach the Super Bowl this time around, while he could mentor Ryan for a year.

The Titans flat out compete in an awful division. The Colts and Jaguars are a couple of years away from playoff contention, while the Texans could take a step back after trading All-Pro WR DeAndre Hopkins. Brees could have the Titans post a great regular-season record and hold a bye week in the postseason.

A fresh Brees and Henry late in January coming off a bye week would be very hard for the Chiefs to even compete with this time around.

All in all, it makes sense for the Saints’ icon and future Hall of Fame QB to finish his career in the big easy. If things do turn south, he could very well end up on another championship roster in the weaker AFC conference.
