New England Patriots

How ironic would it be for Tom Brady to join the Saints rival, Buccaneers, then end up seeing Brees flee to Bill Belichick’s roster? If Brees is a free agent, this QB-HC duo would be more intriguing than Brady signing on with the Buccaneers, or Peyton Manning to the Broncos.

Brees would fit in well in a Patriots uniform. The elite quarterback could go to a team with an elite defense and he would fit in well with offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels, who thrives on the short passing game.

The Patriots don’t have a strong option at the QB position, and it appears to stay that way in 2021. Even if “Trevor Lawrence” gets drafted by the team next offseason, it would be hard for him to replace a QB like Brees in Year 1.

The Patriots and Saints commonly sign the same players from each other’s roster. This would be the top of the top signing for the Patriots roster. Taysom Hill was rumored to be gaining interest from the Pats this offseason, could Brees be ultimately in that situation next time around?

Brees would fit in well with their championship structure and he could jump right in to chase another Super Bowl ring. Who else could be having their eye on Drew in 2021?
