Jameis Winston

The entire NFL world was shocked when the Saints added divisional rival Jameis Winston.

Winston led the NFL in two very important categories last season — interceptions and passing yards. That proves a few things. For starters, it proves that Winston can play with the elite quarterbacks in the league.

Tossing for over 5,000 yards is no easy task, and he did it. However, he also led the league in inceptions which shows that there is quite a bit of work to get done before he becomes a true leader of a playoff-caliber team.

The Saints brought in Winston this offseason, and he’ll make under $2 million. It’s a move that players like Teddy Bridgewater have made when they want another year or even an initial chance to train behind Drew Brees and Sean Payton.

Winston, given his experience and dominance in the league, will be the easy solution if Brees goes down.
