Andy Dalton

After playing almost a decade in Cincinnati and accruing two Pro Bowl selections, Dalton was outed as the team transitioned to LSU phenom Joe Burrow.

Burrow will be in a tough situation to kick off his career while Dalton took off to Dallas, backing up Dak Prescott. Dalton is on an extremely team-friendly deal and will become an excellent late-season trade target for teams that see a quarterback succumb to injury.

Dalton will be one of the best backups in the league, and given that he’s had a great completion percentage, over 66% in 2015 and 62% for his career, Dalton may be a perfect fit for New Orleans.

He’s a pocket-passing quarterback like Brees which helps. Dalton, who was seemingly blamed for the two-win Bengals, had just 16 touchdowns to 14 interceptions. To be fair, he was without A.J. Green and had arguably the league’s worst offensive line as well.

The season before he had 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. In 2017, he was at 25 and 12. Dalton has had recent success but was put on blast when the Bengals were ten losses in without a win a season ago.
