Number Three: Jalen Dalton

Most New Orleans Saints fans do not even know who Jalen Dalton is which is why it’s so surprising that for some reason he made it through the first round of cuts. Jalen Dalton is a 6-foot-6 defensive tackle who played his college football at North Carolina.

The fact that Dalton still made it past the first round of cuts despite there being a significant amount of talent at the defensive tackle position already blows my mind.

Deatrick Nichols could have been competing for the number three or four spot at the cornerback position on the depth chart but instead was sent packing. Given that the team needs cornerback help and Nichols showed immense potential at the XFL level, his cutting comes as a surprise.

Dalton is sure to be cut sooner rather than later and it’s unfortunate that he wasn’t included in the first batch of cuts.
