Number Two: Young Talent

Aside from a few aging veterans, the New Orleans Saints are a rather young team.

New Orleans has been relying on their young talent such as running back Alvin Kamara, offensive lineman Erik McCoy, wide receiver Michael Thomas, and cornerback Marshon Lattimore to lead the pack in the Big Easy.

The sudden wave of young talent and home run draft selections have given the Saints an incredible edge.

The easiest way of putting it is that the Saints are bringing in top-tier talent for a fraction of the price just because they have no NFL experience. The Saints’ young talent will be the reason the Saints will continue to see success in the post Drew Brees era.

Also with players like Marcus Davenport, Erik McCoy, Zach Baun and others, the Saints move up and target exactly who they want. They go out and get exactly the positional needs that are most critical.

The team’s ability to draft well and attract free agents will set them apart in future years.
