Robert Woods

The LA Rams, since they defeated the New Orleans Saints, a game we no longer talk about, haven’t been the same team. Jared Goff hasn’t been the same, and their plethora of talented receivers have gone to waste.

The Rams lost Brandin Cooks, but they still have Robert Wood and Cooper Kupp on the roster. Kupp seems to be the player that the team is looking to build their franchise around, making Woods more expendable.

Set to make $5 million this season and $9 million next season, it would be an investment to bring Woods in. They do have an out next offseason where his dead cap is just $1.2 million.

Woods recorded his second straight 1,000-yard season last year. He totaled 1,134 yards on 90 receptions, being targeted 139 times. Woods was a top-ten most targeted receiver in 2019. Kupp was also in the top 15.

A 27-year-old, Woods’ ability is clear and he would be an excellent addition given the team having saved money from Larry Warford’s release. Without an injury, it’s unlikely they’d target someone like Woods.

All five would be welcome and some could be targeted without an injury even occurring.
