Number Three: Reliability

Bennie Fowler is about as reliable as they come, and that is a trait the New Orleans Saints desperately need in their receiving corps. Fowler has spent a lot of his career on and off of active rosters due to skill set, but as far as reliability goes, he’s one of the best in the league.

Bennie Fowler has never missed a game with an injury in his NFL career.

Yes, he hasn’t ever been a number one or two guy on a roster before, but that doesn’t seem to play a role when you look at a team like the Saints who had virtually everyone under Michael Thomas see time on the injury report.

Fowler has also been a reliable target for the lower tier of wide receivers for his teams.

Fowler has only recorded four career drops which is a remarkable stat. Fowler has seen success when he’s on the field hauling in 95 receptions, 1,090 receiving yards, 11.5 yards per reception, 57 first downs, and six touchdowns.

He is also reliable in the sense that he can play multiple positions.

Fowler has obviously caught the ball, but he’s also run the rock, made special teams tackles and even returned a kick. His versatility and reliability will make him a great fit in the black and gold.
