Calvin Ridley

Calvin Ridley has the makeup of an elite wide receiver. Ridley is 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, and he runs a 4.43. Ridley is the most complete No. 2 receiver in his division. He’s effective at catching deep catches, short catches, and running the ball after the catch.

Ridley recorded 877 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns last season while missing 3 games. He would’ve been flirting with 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns if he played the full season.

The biggest reason that Ridley is the best No. 2 receiver comes with his potential. Ridley has been in the league for only two years, but he has 17 receiving touchdowns in the last two years. Only one receiver has more receiving touchdowns in his division and that’s Michael Thomas.

Chris Godwin had a great season last year, but he’s been in the league for 3 years. Robby Anderson is another younger wide out, but he’s had more time than Ridley to show his potential. Sanders has had great years, but he’s 33 years old.

Matt Ryan could put together another great season, similar to his Super Bowl season. Todd Gurley is coming back to Georgia, and he could open things up in the play-action game for Matt Ryan and company.

Ridley could be running against fewer defenders than he faced with Julio if Gurley forces more defenders.
