Week 3 – New Orleans Saints vs Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers will be coming to New Orleans this season. There are a couple of reasons that make this game one of the deciding factors to the season: 1) it is an early big game test and 2) it is against another heavy NFC favorite.

Last season, the Green Bay Packers were the team that beat out the Saints for the No. 2 spot in the playoffs and stole the bye week from the Saints. Who knows how the playoffs would have turned out if the Saints got that spot.

Either way, this is a chance for the Saints to prove that they, in fact, are better than the Packers and deserve to be treated as such. The Packers will also be a true early-season test of how New Orleans will hold up against a top opponent.

Yes, they play the Buccaneers in week one, but both teams will still be figuring out how each other works and plays together. By week three, they should be put together enough to take on a hot veteran team like the Packers.

The morale that a win in this game would boost the Saints to more victories.
