William Jackson, CB, Bengals

Another young cornerback the Saints could target is William Jackson. Despite having a solid defense and depth at most areas on both sides of the ball, the Saints still have a few positions that need improvement.

The spot right behind Jenkins, as aforementioned, is one. Linebacker is another spot that could use improving. That said, the former could be enhanced by Jackson, who has spent the few seasons of his career in Cincinnati.

Jackson is set to make almost $10 million, but his contract will be off the books after this season. Last season, Jackson totaled 37 tackles but cut his missed tackle percentage in half, down to 7.5% from over 16%.

Cincy Jungle recently ranked Jackson as the 11th-best player on the Bengals. While that’s not overly impressive, Cincinnati does have some solid top-tier players so if Jackson could slot in the top-20 Saints player then he’d be worth potentially a late-round pick.

Given that he may be a priority extension, getting Jackson could be easier said than done.

All three would be welcome additions to the Big Easy, but it doesn’t seem any rumored have quite appeared.
