Yannick Ngakoue

Superstar defensive end Yannick Ngakoue would be a stud for the New Orleans Saints, potentially relieving Marcus Davenport of some of his duties. Teams are still interested in trading for the Jags star as well according to NFL.com’s Kevin Patra.

Last season, Ngakoue recorded 41 tackles and 8.0 sacks. The year before that he totaled 9.5 sacks, and looking one year before that in 2017, he notched 12.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and was elected to the Pro Bowl.

The 6-foot-2, 240-pound four-year stud is now on the block as the Jaguars try to rebuild their franchise. Since the Jags want “sizable” return in the form of draft compensation for the young star, it may be a while till he’s traded.

The Saints, who may receive compensatory picks for the first time in ages next season, could be willing to part with anything after a second-round pick. But, with Davenport healthy and looking ready to break out, they may give him another shot.
