The New Orleans Saints are very close to being the best team in the NFL, and just one trade may make them the easy Super Bowl favorite this season.

There’s no denying the New Orleans Saints improved their roster this offseason. They added Emmanuel Sanders, a weapon that will certainly help their offense continue to improve.

Guard Cesar Ruiz was the team’s first-round draft pick, and he’ll certainly have an impact on the offense’s success as well. On the defensive side of the ball, they brought in linebacker Zack Baun and safety Malcolm Jenkins.

Baun was drafted in the third round while Jenkins was added to replace Vonn Bell who left for Cincinnati. The team also saw Eli Apple depart, replacing him with Janoris Jenkins who spent the last few games in 2019 with the Saints.

Most to all of those moves improved the roster — although the jury is still out on if Ruiz will be an upgrade over Larry Warford. The Saints are still an addition or two away from not only being a top contender but being the top contender.

Already the best team in the NFC South and potentially the NFC as a whole, the Saints need a few players to get over the hump created by the Chiefs and Ravens. That said, let’s dive into three options they could bring to make them immediate Super Bowl favorites.
