LeSean McCoy
The last option for the Saints if Kamara was to go down would be ex-Chief LeSean McCoy. McCoy is getting into his older years so he would be willing to take a veterans minimum to be on a roster and play.
He played a similar role in Kansas City where he would plug and play frequently but not in a starting role. He even had quite a bit of production on the Super Bowl champion roster with multiple quality running backs.
He has six Pro Bowl selections to his name along with two first-team All-Pro selections. He has six 1,000+ yard seasons and two seasons with over 10 touchdowns. Most recently, he ran for 465 yards and four touchdowns last season.

It would be an extremely unfortunate circumstance if Alvin Kamara were unable to play for a length of time. No Saints’ fan should want that, but the team still needs to be ready if it were to happen at any point this season.
