Larry Warford, OL

Larry Warford was one of the most unique situations of the Saints 2019 roster’s offseason. Last year, Warford was a Pro Bowl tackle that held down the line for the New Orleans Saints on one of the best offensive lines in the nation.

However, the Saints decided to use their first-round draft pick on a center/guard combo player. Having obviously thought highly of him, they elected for him to start on the line and Warford to take a backseat.

Well, it is not worth Warford’s contract to keep him on the bench — so they cut him. Unfortunately, that is most likely the main reason that Warford still finds himself on the free-agent market, because his price tag is too high for any team to want to pick up.

Warford needs to take a lesser contract to play in the 2020 season. The NFL is full of teams that need a better offensive lineman; Warford just needs to be willing to go wherever and do whatever to get signed to a team.
