Stephone Anthony, LB

Stephone Anthony is another linebacker who should have really helped the team out last year. Apparently, the two did not mesh together very well. Even with most of the core hurt, Anthony still barely saw the field.

The team even signed Manti Te’o, who is also still currently unsigned, off of the waivers, and had him participate more than Anthony. Anthony’s second stint with the Saints didn’t go according to plan and that is why the team elected not to re-sign him.

Outside of the Saints, he has spent a couple of years with the Miami Dolphins with little to no production to show for himself their either. Since his rookie season with the Saints where he started all 16 games, Anthony has only started four games since then.

In the last four seasons, Anthony hasn’t even come close to totaling the production he did in his rookie season. Whether he just got slid behind a better linebacker and was never able to show himself or if he just wasn’t the talent he was supposed to be, Anthony hasn’t been the same.
