Josh Gordon has electric speed.

The New Orleans Saints have one of the best wide receivers in the NFL currently. They also just added a top second-tier talent in free agency from San Francisco, Emmanuel Sanders, to help the team out.

However, Sanders and Thomas have something in common, they are not highly regarded as speed demons. They are not those players that you are fearful they are going to simply outrun you down the field as a cornerback or safety.

Josh Gordon is. In 2017, after the two years missed off of suspension, Gordon ran a 4.30-second 40-yard dash in camp. To compare, Michael Thomas ran a 4.58 second, and Emmanuel Sanders runs a 4.41-second 40-yard dash.

The Saints could use a receiver that has that known deep threat personality. It would open up the field more of Michael Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, and even Jared Cook. It would also give Brees a deep option to prove he can still throw that deep ball.
