Wide receiver Josh Gordon has had a storied past, but the New Orleans Saints should still be brave enough to sign this immaculate talent.

Josh Gordon, who was suspended back in December for breaking the league’s substance abuse policy — again, has applied for reinstatement to the NFL. Could the Saints land his talents this time around?

Roughly 20 days ago, Gordon applied for reinstatement to the NFL. If Roger Goodell and the NFL are to make a quick decision, Gordon could be back in time to participate in the upcoming Saints’ training camps.

Also, if reinstated, Gordon would become an unrestricted free agent meaning the Saints wouldn’t have to jump through any loopholes to sign him. When he was suspended in December of last year, it was on the heels of his brother dying in November.

The New Orleans Saints already have two terrific wide receivers. Therefore, they would not be relying on Gordon to come in and be a No. 1 receiver. He would find his place in the rotation. Here are three reasons the Saints should consider this seriously.
