Number One: Jameis Winston

The New Orleans Saints made headlines when they inked the 2019 passing yardage leader in Jameis Winston to just a one-year, 1.1 million dollar deal this offseason.

Winston even turned down higher-paying gigs to take a page out of the Sean Payton experience and learn under Drew Brees.

Winston seems like the favorite to be the number two quarterback on the New Orleans depth chart, especially when you consider how productive Winston has been with an underwhelming offensive line and not too much talent around him aside from Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

Winston has only completed less than 60 percent of his passes in a season once, and it was his rookie season back in 2015. We all know the Saints love an accurate quarterback, but Winston is also highly productive.

In his career since being the number one overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Winston has recorded a 61.3 completion percentage, 19,737 passing yards, 121 passing touchdowns, 88 interceptions, 248 rush attempts, 1,044 rushing yards, and 10 rushing touchdowns.

Since 2015, he has thrown for more passing yards than Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, Eli Manning, and Ben Roethlisberger amongst others. Jameis Winston would be a great guy to replace Drew Brees if he goes down in 2020.
